Property had no lift. My room was on 3rd floor and I am 74 years old. No mention of this in website info. 2. TV did not work properly on free to air stations. Complained but told repair man doesn't like to fix these jobs. Why is this MY problem? 3. Staff were not english literate - found it difficult to communicate. 4. This place is primarily for backpackers - younger people would be Ok althougth they also found the stair climb difficult.

A Return Visit
City Lodge Sydney located centrally. Close to rail & bus networks. My only criticism is of the air-conditioning. No air-con control in the room, and it remains turned off despite the heat until very late evening, when it comes on at full roar and continues thus till morning. On the last night of my stay it didn't come on at all, which made sleeping in Sydney's sultry weather difficult. Otherwise a great place to stay!!! Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Take the Manly Ferry over and back(1 hr return), or a River Cat ferry up to Parramatta and back (2hrs return) for a great, and quite cheap, look around Sydney's wonderful harbour.
