Great Value for Money

As usual this venue offered great value for money and with the convenience of restaurants and retail outlets within the centre. My 19 year old had her hair done at a reasonable price and my 13 year old found the convenience store great to visit for the odd snack. Room service meals were cooked to my very stringent specifics. Love staying at the venue and is so handy to public transport that you vehicle is not required for your stay.

Great to stay but Not Value for Money

The property was its usual good standard. However, customer service was a vast improvement over my previous stays. I could have stayed at an equivalent property at Darling Harbour for half the price with more inclusions. The Garden Buffet breakfast was a disgrace. At .90, the same as for the Lunch and dinner, the selection was sparse. I have stayed at 5 star properties in Australia and around the world where the breakfast was less than half the price and was sunptious and imaginative.

I will actively seek to not have breakfast here again.

The Hotel was very nice and erved its' purpose well.

While I enjoyed the night at StarCity, we had ordered a meal at 3am (it was a late night). The food was cold. Th garlic bread was mostly very dry except for one end that was 'drenched' with liquid. The (if you can call them) chips were totally dehydrated and the bread for the club sandwich was like rubber.

When we complained about the food, a very nice girl came to our room and explained that the food was meant to be that way, as that is how the chef cooks it !!!!

She further explained that there are very few complaints about the ood and she believed that because there are very few complaints, the food must be good. I explained to her that 99% of people who are served bad food don't complain, they just don't come back.

We were not given a refund for the food - but were permitted to check out 2 hours later than normal.

Overall, I would rate the Hotel 10/10 but food would be 0/10.

I would also tell people to stay at StarCity - Just don't eat there......if it's possible.

I live in the Southern Highlands in NSW. I only stayed in "the city" because of an 18th.

I'm really not a tourist - type of person, so I'm not one to ask about such things.

5 star accommodation and service with a 10 star location

Very affordable for a well deserved 5 star rating.

You'll need either a lot of time or a lot of energy to experience even a fraction of what is immediately available to Darling Harbour and Sydney City
